Dubuque Arboretum & Botanical Gardens at Marshall ParkWe are the only arboretum and botanical garden in the USA staffed entirely by volunteers. Over 250 dedicated individuals maintain the trees, plants and shrubs, and seed-gifts which are all labeled throughout the garden. A special thank you to all of our guests and volunteers! In 2006 we had guests come from 47 of the 50 states and 10 foreign countries. We had over 250 volunteers reporting more than 14,900 hours in 2006. In addition there are thousands of hours also completed by area schools, clubs, businesses and community service. We currently have 85 volunteers as part of the RSVP program. Formal English Garden expansion is complete in 2005. We are continuing work of the Japanese Garden. Come in through our new gate entrance. Don't be surprise if you see someone in wedding attire. We do almost a hundred weddings each year. Come visit us for a few moments or a few hours. Join us for our Sunday at Six concert series all summer long. Donations accepted and new volunteers welcome.
