Institute
of Museum and Library Services Grant
The Dubuque Arboretum and
Botanical Gardens has recently received a grant
from the Institute of Museum and Library Services
for a collections
management assessment. The IMLS is a federal agency that foster leadership
and a lifetime of learning. They have awarded $225,125.00 in Museum
Assessment Program (MAP) Grants to 110 museums across the country in 2001.
The DABG is very privileged
to have received such a prestigious award, stated
Chuck Haas, Vice President of Operations. We hope to have an ongoing
collaboration partnership with these institutions in the future.
This first time grant will
enable DABG to improve the service they offer
through better management, organization and recording of Horticulture and
Botanical plant material. The grant awarded DABG was $1775.00
